How to apply
Complete application instructions and application components are outlined at http://www.brocku.ca/gradstudies/future/admissions.php
Admission requirements
Consideration for admission will be given to applications meeting the following minimum requirements (these minimum requirements do not, however, guarantee admission):
- Honours Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related field, with a minimum of B+ or equivalent grade point average. Students not meeting this minimum grade point average but having at least a high B in all major courses are encouraged to apply.
- Exceptionally, students holding a Pass Degree, a BA with a Major, or a B.Sc. with a Major, with a minimum of high B or equivalent grade point average in major courses, may apply for admission. When applicants are unable to provide evidence of sufficient background preparation, they may be advised to take upper level Mathematics/Statistics undergraduate courses and reapply. Advising an applicant to upgrade does not obligate the Department of Mathematics to accept the candidate upon resubmission.
- Applicants with education credentials outside North America will be assessed on an individual basis with respect to degree and standing equivalents.
